My name is Mark Tate

I have been songwriting for a long time now and I first got into it through entertaining when I ran my one man show playing and singing rock and roll a bit of country and my own material.

I don't have a favourite artist but I enjoy a wide variety of stuff, really liking classic late 70's soul and funk and I have really been influenced by these genres in my work.

I also enjoy composing and writing as today's music is so varied.  Ultimately I am looking for a publishing deal.

My songs have been played this year on Princess Alexandra Hospitals radio station (Harlow, Essex) and I was a semi finalist in the 2007 UK Songwriting Contest.
